Mobile metallography

This mobile or ambulant metallography involves the non-destructive examination of surfaces, microstructures or surface defects on components on site. 

The microstructure impression technique (replica) is used to characterise the topography of an accessible surface. The applied impression technique and mobile hardness measurement provide information about the operating condition, material quality or service life of the examined component.
