Process master sample testing

Based on normative specifications, preliminary procedure specifications are qualified and ultimately serve for production release under controlled conditions. 

For welded joints, we carry out procedure qualification (master sample) tests based on standard EN-ISO 15614-1 with the aim of qualifying the preliminary welding procedure specification (pWPS). The evaluation of the test results is carried out in accordance with EN-ISO 5817. The qualification provides evidence that the joining process proposed for the design is suitable for producing joints that meet the mechanical properties of the intended application. 

Other manufacturing processes that are tested with a comparable approach are organic and inorganic coatings as well as heat treatment cycles.
